I was so excited to photograph one of my favorite families last weekend! I was lucky to be able to document her first pregnancy and newborn portraits of their ADORABLE little boy Kaden. Now she’s about to have a baby girl and I couldn’t be happier for them!

I’m super excited to announce a very special June Mini Session Event!
Mini Sessions are a great way to get a few gorgeous images of your family and kids, or to mark a special milestone in your life, or maybe you’re a friend of a client who wants to get a small taste of what Melissa Lyn Photography is all about. In any case, it’s a great way to get some updated images of the special people in your life!
This special Mini Session Event will be held on Saturday, June 18th and Saturday, June 25th. There will be limited spots available and I will only be taking a few clients on each day.
The $150 includes:
- 20-30 minute session
- 10-15 images in a private online gallery
- (1) Mounted 11×14 print
- (2) Mounted 5×7 prints
***extra prints, albums and digital negatives can be purchased separately.

Here is just one quick shot from this weeks newborn session of one of my best friends brand new baby. Isn’t she just the sweetest??? Can’t WAIT to share more!!
I’ve know Amanda for a long time. We used to be roommates (some of the BEST times of my life!) and she’s one of my best friends. When she called me months ago with the news that she was pregnant with her first baby, I was over overwhelmed with excitement for her! This is something that she’s wanted for a while now and I couldn’t be happier for her and Alex. Amanda has always been amazingly beautiful (both inside and out) but look at her now! She’s STUNNING! Pregnancy sure looks good on her! And did you take a look at Alex? He’s not so bad himself. Alex is a retired professional soccer player, most recently playing for the Chivas USA team, so knowing that Amanda is a HUGE sports fanatic, I knew that Alex was The One for her.
Amanda & Alex: I am so happy to be able to document such a special time in your lives. I am SO happy for you both and I can’t WAIT to meet little A and to find out what the heck you’re having! The suspense is KILLING ME!

I hope everyone’s 2011 is off to a great start! Mine has been a little hard due to my kids being sick for the past 2 months. But other than that I am SUPER excited about 2011! I’ve got lots planned for this new year so stay tuned!
First up: getting caught up on this poor little blog! I’ve been neglecting it for a while to focus on getting all client holiday orders designed and in on time, talking care of sick babies, and taking some time off to spend with my family during the holidays. Since most of you have seen our holiday card I can FINALLY post this amazing shoot of my kids from last month for our card. Since I already posted the ones of Landon in his birthday post, these are mostly of Chloe. Chloe was 9 months here and Landon was almost 4 years old. Where did the time go??????

Ok, so I know that I have been a total slacker on this poor little blog!!! I’m so sorry. I really hope to be posting more soon. I’ve just been so swamped with the move and getting ready for the baby girl to arrive anytime now!! I have my own maternity shoot to post (hopefully!) and my AMAZING baby shower will be coming soon. But first, I wanted to share this amazing maternity session of my best friends sister. I’ve known this family for over 14 years and they are so awesome. I am so excited for their little girl to arrive in late March. Danaka’s due date is only 3 weeks after mine and I can’t believe how little her belly is compared to my gigantic belly! Ha!!
