My Baby Girl turns 1 year old! {Rancho Santa Margarita, Ca Child Photographer}

I cannot believe that a year has already passed by since my beautiful baby girl came into this world! It makes me very teary eyed, but I’m so excited to watch her grow and see what happens next with her since she’s always keeping me on my toes! She’s truly a sweet baby and I always say that the perfect way to describe Chloe is that she is a little ball of sunshine. She’s always smiling and laughing and now that she’s walking, she’s always trying to keep up with her big brother. I used to think (before she was mobile) that she was going to be just like all of the other little girls who just sit quietly and play with dolls. But now I think she is going to be out chasing her big brother Landon and climbing up on everything, despite her girly style. It’s only a matter of time.

On Saturday, March 5th, we celebrated Chloe’s 1st birthday here at our home with all of our friends and family. My sister and I planned every little detail for weeks and worked very hard and I’m still in shock that we were able to pull it all off! Since Chloe is so sweet, I decided to go with a Sweet Shoppe theme with girly pink and lemonade yellow colors and with a bit of a shabby chic twist. Nicole from Sweet Sensations provided the AMAZING candy station and ruffled streamers for the backdrop of the dessert table. Katelyn from Katelyn’s Cakes provided the awesome glitter cupcakes, lollipop/pinwheel cookies on a stick and the glitter chocolate covered strawberries. I’m still in shock that this girl is still in High School! She’s amazing! Nancy from A to Zebra Celebrations made the adorable “Happy Birthday Chloe” banner and my cousin Amy made the banner on the dessert table that read “Chloe’s Sweet Shoppe”. I purchased Chloe’s Pettiromper and fluffy cupcake shirt from Chic Baby Rose on Etsy. And of course Chloe’s FABULOUS headband was from the amazing Lindsay from Banner Boutique on Etsy. All of Chloe’s headbands are from Banner Boutique! LOVE her! My sister and I made the chocolate covered marshmallows, flower chocolate pops, raspberry lemonade sangria, food labels, flower arrangements and ALL of those flower pom poms!! (which took FOREVER! lol!) Thanks again to my amazing sister Kate for all of your help! I don’t know what I would have done with out you. I love you!

Update….

I just wanted to let everyone know that first, I am alive! I’ve been SUPER busy this week and I have lots to share. My husband has been very sick and I’ve had to put everything on the back burner for a bit. I am slowly catching up. For those of you who have contacted me (via email, phone) please know that I am not ignoring you! I will be getting back to you today. Currently, I am working on returning calls and emails that were received last Sunday. Sorry for the delay in responding to everyone, but you will be hearing from me soon! :)

Happy New Year Everyone! {Orange County, Ca Portrait Photographer}

I hope everyone’s 2011 is off to a great start! Mine has been a little hard due to my kids being sick for the past 2 months. But other than that I am SUPER excited about 2011! I’ve got lots planned for this new year so stay tuned!

First up: getting caught up on this poor little blog! I’ve been neglecting it for a while to focus on getting all  client holiday orders designed and in on time, talking care of sick babies, and taking some time off to spend with my family during the holidays. Since most of you have seen our holiday card I can FINALLY post this amazing shoot of my kids from last month for our card. Since I already posted the ones of Landon in his birthday post, these are mostly of Chloe. Chloe was 9 months here and Landon was almost 4 years old. Where did the time go??????

Happy Birthday Landon!

Well 4 years ago today, I had a teeny, tiny baby boy. At only 4lbs. 4oz., Landon Thomas came into the world. Although he was small, he was a BIG fighter. He spent the first 3 weeks of his life in the NICU here at CHOC with a whole list of doctors and specialists. He was watched very closely during his first year, (and with a few problems) we were relieved that we made it through his first year. It was a tough one, but SO WORTH IT!!! Now at 4 years old, Landon is full of energy! He’s always laughing and telling me jokes (and he’s quite funny!) He introduces himself to new friends as Buzz Lightyear and loves to dress up as all sorts of superhero’s. He’s the BEST big brother to his little sister Chloe. And everyone that meets Landon (from his teachers to strangers) always tell me how they fall in love with him instantly. He’s just got this way about him that makes everyone smile.

So HAPPY BIRTHDAY LANDON!!! We LOVE you so much and you are the BEST little boy a mommy could ask for!!!! I LOVE YOU!!! xoxo

Love That Shot ~ Link Up Challange

So I entered a contest from Love That Shot! for a chance to win $100 to Florabella Actions-which I absolutely LOVE! So I decided to enter in this image of my daughter Chloe from her 6 month portrait session I shot the other day. I’m just love all of the images I got from her quick session and it was so hard to choose just one! I just LOVE her expression in this shot! It reminds me of the Gerber Baby. What do you think?

Little Photo Tip: I try and get all sorts of different expressions in babies and not always try so hard for a smile. Personally, I love ALL expressions babies make-even when they’re crying. I try to capture their true personality.

Kids Ink Commercial Shoot {Orange County, Ca Commercial Photographer}

I FINALLY had the chance to post some of my favorites from this commercial shoot I did a few months ago. Kids Ink is an AWESOME clothing line for infants & kids and I’ve been a big fan of their clothing line for a while now. So you could imagine that I was super stoked to have the opportunity to shoot the Spring & Summer 2011 lines. And an added bonus: both of my kids got to model some of the clothes! What an awesome experience-both for myself & my kids. It was a crazy 2 days with lots of kids but it was so much fun & so many cute clothes! (I’m SO in love with the bikini little Kaitlyn is modeling. I want one in my size!) Here are some of my favorites from the shoots.

Ok, seriously, WHERE does the time go???? I never got around to posting Chloe’s 5 month old photos and now she’s going to be 6 MONTHS OLD this weekend! I tell her every day to stop growing up so fast. I seriously feel like I just gave birth to her last week. I am having the time of my life with her. She really is just the sweetest thing ever and we all love her so much. It brings tears to my eyes to say that I’ll be shooting her 6 month portraits in the next week or two (so be on the look out for that post!) But for now, here are her belated 5 month portrait session sneak peek. Enjoy!
