Last month my Aunt, Uncle and cousins drove all the way from Vegas to have their family photos done. It was long overdue. It’s been years since they have had a family portrait taken! Aren’t my little cousin’s beautiful???

Ok, so I know that I have been a total slacker on this poor little blog!!! I’m so sorry. I really hope to be posting more soon. I’ve just been so swamped with the move and getting ready for the baby girl to arrive anytime now!! I have my own maternity shoot to post (hopefully!) and my AMAZING baby shower will be coming soon. But first, I wanted to share this amazing maternity session of my best friends sister. I’ve known this family for over 14 years and they are so awesome. I am so excited for their little girl to arrive in late March. Danaka’s due date is only 3 weeks after mine and I can’t believe how little her belly is compared to my gigantic belly! Ha!! She looks amazing!! Here are some of my favorites.

Valentine’s Day Mini Sessions! {Orange County Portrait Photographer}

I am excited to announce my second ever mini session event! I’ve had a lot of requests for me to offer mini sessions again, and I thought Valentine’s Day would be the perfect time! These mini sessions will be, well a “mini version” of a regular session with me, only lasting 20 minutes. You will then be presented with an online gallery with 10-15 proofed images for your viewing pleasure. I have created a special package just for the Valentine Holiday which includes:

-25 custom valentine’s day cards to sent to family and friends

-30 custom mini valentine’s day cards for your child to hand out at school **how FUN would it be for them to hand out custom valentine’s with THEIR own photo on them?!

-5×10 custom “LOVE” desktop collage *perfect for your desk at work (or a surprise for mom, dad or grandparents!)

Sessions will be offered one day only…Sunday, January 24th! Only 8 sessions are available so contact me to reserve your session right away! Either email me at: info@melissalynphotography.com or call me at 949-433-0975

A few more details:

-This mini session is intended for children, not family or newborn sessions

-Due to the nature of mini sessions, babies must be able to sit independently, with out toppling over

-Images from the session will be posted within a couple of days. Orders must be placed by Friday, January 29th to ensure delivery before Valentine’s day.

First of all, I just wanted to give everyone an update on what has been going on here the last few days. I just got out of the hospital (kidney stones-OUCH!) and the day after I got home we ended up unexpectedly moving into our new home! So things have been very crazy around here to say the least. If you have recently placed an order or have emailed me, I will respond to everyone shortly. My computer still has to be set up all the way and I have limited access to email at the moment. So thank you to everyone in advance for your patience!

And at last: MERRY CHRISTMAS! I wanted to thank all of my fabulous clients for such an incredible year! I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays. Here are a few photos from our holiday card and some extra ones of my little man Landon that didn’t make the card.

This is a super quick sneak peek of adorable little 7 week old twin boys I photographed yesterday. Although they were past the window for a “newborn session” (newborn sessions must be done within the fist 10 days of the baby’s life) we were able to get them to fall asleep to capture this adorable photo! I have been slacking a bit on this blog! Sorry! I’ve just been swamped with so many things going on the past month and a half. This has been my busiest Holiday Season yet (yea!!!) and on top of that we’re in the middle of moving! So this year, I was even MORE excited for our annual trip to Julian for Thanksgiving this year to just relax and enjoy some family time and of course the Thanksgiving Feast! I had a week free of work, emails and day to day life. It was FABULOUS!!!! And this year we had an extra special treat: SNOW! It’s never snowed on us in Julian before, so this was a real treat. So of course, I grabbed my camera and ran outside to get a few photos.
